Sara and Tim's Vermont Wedding

When Sara messaged me about photographing her wedding at Button Bay Campground in Vermont, I couldn't have been more excited. Sara is originally from Wisconsin and we met back in 2008 when we both attended Hallmark Institute of Photography in Massachusetts. Shortly after school ended, she met Tim who is from Vermont. Their red, white and blue themed wedding was as American as it gets. Sara's friends and family all came to Vermont from Wisconsin and I drove up from Connecticut. When I got to the campground, I was greeted by smiling faces and amazing Wisconsin and Vermont accents. We laughed around a campfire as both Sara and Tim's friends and families insisted that the others were the ones with accents. I really enjoyed hearing the comparison of words and how everyone pronounced them. I've never seen Sara happier than she is when she's around Tim. They light up around each other and have created a beautiful family of their own with their gorgeous daughter Samantha (Sammy) to complete it. Every detail of the wedding was perfectly planned right down to the fishing themed wedding cake (Tim and Sara love to fish together!), the red, white and blue flowers and matching bridal party outfits, an amazing pork roast and some delicious Wisconsin beer. A great blend of everything the couples loves! I love and admire Sara because she looks as great in jeans and t-shirt as she does in a white wedding gown and when the rain starting falling moments before her ceremony, she just laughed and walked to the pavilion between the rain drops. Sara and Tim know the real meaning of a marriage and love. Their wedding was laid back, romantic and family oriented. We all camped afterwards and they lit up some floating lanterns and sent them off into the sky. It was a perfect day and I'm so happy to have been a part of it.
